For the first time in 46 months, Huawei’s smartphone sales in China outperformed those of the iPhone in August. According to a report from CINNO Research, Huawei is gaining traction in the world’s largest smartphone market, especially following the launch of its Mate 60 series, which surprised both consumers and U.S. lawmakers last year. Despite U.S. sanctions preventing access to 5G chipsets, Huawei successfully integrated its own Kirin 9000s 5G processor into the Mate 60 flagship line.
