In April, UK carrier EE inadvertently revealed a “Samsung Galaxy S24 FE” with the model number SM-S721U. Samsung France’s support page hints at a new FE model with the model number SM-S721B. Typically, Samsung adds “U” for US models and “B” for European models. This suggests that EE’s listing may have been an error, as the “B” model number indicates a European version.

Geekbench testing reveals key specifications, providing insight into the SM-S721B model number. The Geekbench test also uncovered that the SM-S721B boasts an Exynos 2400 chip and 8 GB of RAM, matching the European S24 and S24+ models.

Samsung is taking a different approach with the Galaxy S24 FE, unlike the previous model. The Galaxy S23 FE had used a generation older chipset, specifically the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2100, whereas the core S23 line boasted the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In contrast, Samsung is equipping the Galaxy S24 FE with the exact same chipset as the core S24 line, following the precedent set by the S21 FE and S20 FE.

The exact model that can be found on the Samsung France support page is SM-S721B/DS, with DS suggesting that it is indeed a dual-SIM model, with support for two and it is presumed that it should include an e-SIM.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Camera and Color Options:

Specifications for the Galaxy S24 FE have also been leaked, revealing its dimensions. The phone’s primary camera will feature a 50MP 1/1.57″ sensor, similar to the S24 and S24+. The other two cameras are expected to be the same model as well. The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be available in six colors: Mint, Cream, Purple, Indigo, Graphite, and Tangerine.

Samsung has not yet confirmed the date of its special announcement, but initially planned to release reports in late 2024. However, current rumors now suggest that the release will be pushed to early 2025. Samsung announced the S23 FE on October 5, 2023, and has already created a support page for the S24 FE, indicating a potentially sooner unveiling for the two devices.
